Day 13: Staying put in Fort Bragg

The morning greeted us with this view of the ocean from our hotel room.

It was "walking" day. Based on Marion's pedometer we walked in the neighborhood of 12 miles. Our first stop was downtown for breakfast. Apparently this place is an institution in town. A couple of benedict breakfasts later we understood why.

We continued our walk and happened upon this rather unique sign ....

.... as well as a store with an interesting combination of products.

In the afternoon we headed north along to walkway to MacKerricher Park. The views were breathtaking ....

... and included a lot of variety: deer ...

... tidal pools ...

... paths ...

... seals ...

... and beaches.

Back at the hotel we had a visitor on the deck railing ... now I know why they stand on one foot so often ..... there's not enough space for both.

For dinner we headed into town, by car, and feasted on a seafood dinner at Cap'n Flint's Restaurant.

After that it was back to the room to update and rest up and plan for tomorrow.
