Day 20: Fairfield to Fairfield

WEROADTRIPS!

Today was a round trip from Fairfield to what was supposed to be through Sonora Pass and then back a more northerly route. That didn't quite work out as planned but more on that later. We left Fairfield and saw some interesting stuff. Old tech sheep grazing under new tech windmills.

The kind of signs we look for.

The signs we laugh out loud at.

Unique stuff like a drawbridge that rotates .... we'll have to look that one up to see if we've misunderstood what a drawbridge is.

Contrasts .... I doubt anyone got transfered from this jail to Alcatraz.

Scenery ...

.... more scenery in the form of a couple of done up C5's.

Creative street names ....

.... and the reason we didn't make the round trip we had planned. I guess we could have checked first but that would have taken away from the adventure.

More stunning scenery ...

.... and the drive through Sonora before enjoying a beautiful sunset as we completed our drive back to Fairfield.

Tomorrow? That will get decided in the morning.
