Day 8: Beaverton to Bandon

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend with Moehls and Teri. Saturday we just hung out and had loads of fun with the girls. On Sunday we joined them at Bethany Baptist Church for Sunday School and the service. Solomon's Song of Songs was the topic in both. Great timing or what! ;o) We stopped by Teri's Sunday afternoon and got some Oregon travel info, visited with the cats and toured the garage. Steve does beautiful work. We went out for Thai food for dinner and then retired back to Moehl's for the evening.

Family pictures were on the agenda for Sunday so here's a shot of our wonderful hosts.

Monday morning I had a 7 am appointment at Kuni BMW to have the tail light repaired. A couple of hours later I was out with a new tail light, a courtesy wash and continental breakfast courtesy of their waiting area. Once back we packed up and hit the road.

We started in rain and it pretty much stayed that way all day. The forecast called for winds gusting to 60 mph but I don't think we encountered anything that severe. Here's hwy 6 heading to the coast.

A stop on 101.

A most appropriate description of the day.

Here's a short video that pretty much summarized what the day was like.

Well that resolution is pretty pathetic. Here's the same video on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6pF6XxA3zM

We checked into the Bandon Inn in Bandon and are looking forward to the view from the balcony that will greet us in the morning.
